There are few occasions when there is enough snow to enjoy snowshoeing in Urkiola and Gorbea. However, when this happens, it is possible to enjoy the winter magic of its landscapes walking on deep snow-layer.

There are a large number of alternatives, so it is always a matter of adapting the difficulty and duration of the routes to the expectations and characteristics of the participants. In any case, they are always mountain routes, so the main difficulties are centered around the duration, length and height of the route.

There are the specific objective risks associate to any practice in a natural environment (weather, stone falls, fauna…).
REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE

Minimum age 12 years. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

To have a certain habit walking through mountain terrain.

To communicate to the guide before startig the activity any health problem, physical / psychological condition, or personal characteristic that may affect individual or collective safety during the activity.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING for the activity

Comfortable clothes for walking.

Warm clothes, windstopper and / or waterproof jacket.

Hat, buf, and snow gloves.

Soft hiking boots that cover the ankle but allow it to move.

Sunglasses.

Sun protection cream.

A small backpack with some snacks to eat during the activity.
